Ann I gave all that up to live in Alaska.

Pity those folks living in those single family dwellings. All they get is a view of the skyscrapers. For me Miami wins over Honolulu hands down.

This list is BOLONEY as far as I'm concerned.

Check the crime rates and the population of illegals in Miami, El Paso, and crime rates in New Orleans, Tampa..

Henderson, NV., better..
Hmm, I like it here. No hurricanes, no blizzards, and no earthquakes and the prices are kept down because of our poverty rate. It gets a little hot here but it's a dry Heat.:D

Now Las Cruses NM a little north of us is where a lot of retirees are going. The problem is that so many from California with their large pensions are going there and raising real estate prices 20 to 30 percent.

Taking their Cali Pensions to another state. Traitiors, deserters.:D

My wife is from Chicago and you be amazed how many from Chicago are here in El Paso. She wears her Bears sweat shirt and runs into people from Chicago all the time. This is in the winter time of course. She even ran into two families from her home town.

Bquat, Not attacking El Paso., just reacting to what I see in the media. Glad you like it there. I love TX., and Texans, but never been to El Paso..

Beauty, as they say, is in the eye of the beholder...

The Financial magazines frequently rate " retirement heaven and hell" articles. Google them if you are interested..

I have many family/friends who live in the Northeast. One just e-mailed this week from CT., "just paid my property and AUTO VALUE taxes of $8,000... Oh and that's for 6 months !!

Needless to say, CT.,NY., RI., NJ., are bleeding business and population...
The cost of doing business and living in ridiculous..

Hilarious comments in the comment section of the article. Talk about wrapping yourself up with bubble wrap because of the gun violence in a number of the cities mentioned.
