Have to agree with NUUT on this one, ( I know! :nuts but this sin tax thing is getting out of hand. It will cause diminishing returns. More cost due to taxation, causing lower volume of sales, causing less returns. Repeat till no one gets anything. Except those willing to smuggle said products. And it will happen! While it is true that taxes are near historic lows, the percentages given are a little (but not totally) misleading. When taxes were lowered by Reagan, it was done along with the elimination of several loopholes/tax shelters.

But a Michigan lawmaker is hoping the renowned distiller will abandon its Tennessee roots and relocate to his state over a looming tax dispute in the place where Jack Daniel's whiskey was born.
