The VIX hit 44 this morning, and is currently at 39.
It’s only been at this level three times that I can remember-
1. During the Covid crash of 2020;
2. During the 2008 market meltdown
3. During the 1998 panic / tech bubble.
And the tariff price increases haven’t even begun.

Yep and the SPX got close to that gap left from last May. We touched the top of the May 3 2024 gap up on the daily but didn't close it. Needed to drop about 50 points. With this uncertainty who knows if that will happen or worse case there are some still open gaps further down from Nov 23 I still have marked on my chart.
