For real investors, the Standard & Poor’s 500 index crossed the 2700 mark while the Nasdaq Composite topped 7000, both, of course, also records. The holiday-shortened week still produced healthy gains of 2.33% for the Dow, 2.6% for the S&P, and 3.38% for the technology-laden Nasdaq.
