I've been lurking for a number of years now, and I don't believe I ever posted before, primarily because I am overwhelmed by the knowledge all of you have which has taught me much and helped shape my investment decisions. I log on here daily, multiple times, and many of you it feels like I know you. Funny how boards work like that.
Like Dreamboat Annie, would I like to party with you. Ravensfan, you live near me if you are in the Port...ever go to South County Brewery in Fawn Grove? We should get together for a ride. Clester, Whipsaw, Fireweather, Amoeba and too many to mention...wow what a group.
What I have learned is everyone of you know a lot, research a lot, study charts and graphs, and the ones I think are making a killing aren't, and others are.
But I have to say, I took Birchtrees advice mostly...buy buy buy and hold. Everytime I tried to bail to safety, I missed out. And many times I got back in, I got in too late. Sticky pants sticky pants, sit on my hands. I got it....and it paid off.
Today I hit 1 million after being in TSP since the beginning... what, 30 years? Heck 20% of that has been in the last year.
3 more years to retirement, so now what do i do? Keep hand sitting or park it in G for the next 3 years?
Hmm, wonder what BT would say. I kinda think I know
Thank you all, you all play a part at least in my world of investing. And right now I am still %50 S, 25 I, 25 L2050 (which was fairly recent, kinda like a more prosperous G fund...or so I tell myself.)
