Ive heard alot about this place around work, and decided to give it a try.

I sent in my initial allocations this morning, jumped back to the G fund on last friday, since the market is so squirrly

Sent you a screenshot by email...sorry. Ive never watched funds before, never really cared, then I heard of TSPtalk and decided to buy in here. So im a little rusty on the lingo...

im 75% g and a little spread elsewhere just in case

Ok, im thinking IF they come to a deal over the weekend then maybe next week will look up... so

? - I made this IFT just now, so it processes at COB today, does that count as a July or August trade, and should I have reported it to autotracker just now like I did, or should I have waited until after COB

Basically, I have been a buy and hold s fund kinda guy. According to tsp.gov my 12mth rate of return has been around 15-16%. There is several people who believe that im crazy for doing it the way I do it. They mentioned they get advice from this site, and they always say friend dont let friends buy and hold...


So I decided over the last weekend to try it out.

I saw the autotracker, and figured that would be a good way to see how my methods compare to others.

A lot of my friends do buy and hold - but it's important to always dollar cost average especially when the markets are soft. Good luck on your attempt to try something different. I'm reminded that often time in the markets can be more rewarding than timing the markets.

Alright, got busy and couldnt watch the thing, just knew I was losing like crazy, reallocated to 50% G and 50%F
