Super Committee deal unlikely

Nonetheless, as Secretary of Defense with primary responsibility for ensuring the Nation's forces are prepared and strong and able to safeguard the Nation, and as President of the Nation's government, with primary responsibility of safeguarding the Nation from external attack or intrusion, we would rather go ahead and blame someone else for the hollow force than allow someone's benefits check to not be issued. lalalalalalalalala

So, the DOD will have to live on FY2009 appropriations of a mere $637 Billion.
And, a bunch of social welfare programs will be cut similarly.

At least the politicians cannot really game these forced cuts. They were a little too defined for that.

And, while we are talking cuts we should note that since they will not take place till FY2013. Thus, the massive cuts will result in FY2010 spending because the cuts will take place from a higher baseline. My guess is that we (DOD) can survive. Likewise all the welfare stuff.

Folks, this is a joke.

But, a better one than the politicians have lobbed our way in the recent past...
