Technical good news/badnews,
Technically the good news is the Jets had at least 7 maybe 8 runbacks on them that would account for 49 points minimum. Thats 49 points NOT given up by the defense. So Tom, if you used points against and averaged games played to get 14+ given up by the defense then that number will be even lower defensively speaking. Technically the bad news?....see the first sentence of this comment.
Sugar, I'm impressed !! not that you're standing up to Tom :embarrest: but that you're up on this stuff
It sounded good, but the Jets actually only gave up like 2 TD's on runbacks, although there may have been long runbacks that eventually turned into points.
But the point is good that the Jets have a great D. It's just a matter if they can keep mistakes down - kickoffs returns included.
I give the Jets a good chance to win this game but only if they play a mistake free game, and if they can somehow throw the great Manning off his game by blitzing effectively. If they rush (hasten) Manning, look for 1 or 2 interceptions - and that could be the difference in the game.
That Vikings / Saints game should be a lot more fun (See S&S's prediction of over 53 points) but the Jets / Colts game will be some hard-nose football, decided by the offensive and defensive lineman.
