Super Bowl XLIV

Technical good news/badnews,
Technically the good news is the Jets had at least 7 maybe 8 runbacks on them that would account for 49 points minimum. Thats 49 points NOT given up by the defense. So Tom, if you used points against and averaged games played to get 14+ given up by the defense then that number will be even lower defensively speaking. Technically the bad news?....see the first sentence of this comment.

Sugar, I'm impressed !! not that you're standing up to Tom :embarrest: but that you're up on this stuff :D:D

It sounded good, but the Jets actually only gave up like 2 TD's on runbacks, although there may have been long runbacks that eventually turned into points.

But the point is good that the Jets have a great D. It's just a matter if they can keep mistakes down - kickoffs returns included.

I give the Jets a good chance to win this game but only if they play a mistake free game, and if they can somehow throw the great Manning off his game by blitzing effectively. If they rush (hasten) Manning, look for 1 or 2 interceptions - and that could be the difference in the game.

That Vikings / Saints game should be a lot more fun (See S&S's prediction of over 53 points) but the Jets / Colts game will be some hard-nose football, decided by the offensive and defensive lineman.

Sorry Tom, I forgot you were a Jets fan. LOL. Its just my opinion. Mainly out of ignorance as I don't follow the Jets that much. I've been burned by selections Jet players on my fantasy football team in the past. The stats sound good, but I am not budging. Colts will win, and I don't see it being close.

Pill,

Did you or would you havd picked the Jets over San Diego?

Where do you work in Guam? I was there until about 8 months ago working at Anderson.

Please don't answer the phone during game time...

There will be no landslide defeat -- either way -- will be the best game I could imagine ...

It's too bad we can't do a replay of Brittney Spears -- doing 'Walk This Way' ---:laugh: -- I thought she was GREAT !!!

To me that Song -- the way she did it -- even beat the Stones Show and would undoubtedly beat The Who.

And although a part of me is routing for Sugar !!

In this case Pill is right -- and he shouldn't budge :)

Allow me to clarify my "runbacks" comment. I was including fumbles (3total-2runbacks,1 recovered in endzone) Interceptions-2 ranback for TD's And the 2 kick-offs returned for scores. Total-7. Which actually means that cover teams were not responsible for 5 of them. Defense not responsible for all 7. Still bodes well any way you read it. Bank the Jets this weekend. They will run for 150, that with the pressure on Manning will be the key. Assuming Sanchez sticks to the game plan.

I was pulling for the Jets. I don't like San Diego but thought they had the edge. I was happy to see the Jets pull through.

Working on Andersen, but realigned to a Navy employee. I got here about 8 months ago. Round 2, my wife is from here.

Geez, you do know your stuff. :D

The "points for" and "points against" has always been a great deceiver when analyzing NFL games for wagering purposes. You have to factor in those "other" scores. And it swings both ways.......... (if you know what I mean.)
