I'm estimating that come 7:30pm EST, bailing out of the TSP today will result
in a YTD gain of +20.0556% come November 1st and a respectable +2.8324%
MTD gain at the end of trading on October 29th.
I recognize my timid investment
moves are a result of the 2008 plunge. But at this stage of my life, I opt to be more
cautious for less. Otherwise, going "Balls To The Wall" could have me lose alot more
then my plans will allow. :embarrest: The last two months has been a heck of a ride, however,
I would seriously like to avoid the next correction if possible.

I'm with Lady - bearhugs from me too. Sweet little brother there are few things in life beyond 'true friends' and the sacred bonds of love and care that somehow get established.
I think when you find LOVE on that level it's impossible to damage it or make it disappear. My bonds with you all the more came to life when you had your heartattack.
I know things were incredibly 'strained' for a long time and I have never stopped caring -- or stopped wondering if you were getting out from the bottom of what felt like a huge pit.
Your GAINS could not have possibly happened to a more beautiful man and one who deserves the very best.

You guys can't begin to know how much a part of the healing process you've been a part of. Life has certainly changed since a year and a half ago. There are only a few things that have been constant after May 2009. On top of the pile is held by my Teddybear. Her love and devotion has never waivered. Even in the face of adversity. Right up there has been the unheard of compassion of my friends here at TSPtalk. I could devote an entire day listing all of you, so please forgive me for taking the short route by clumping everyone together. You know who you are !
With that said (LoL) - Is the last 5 days of downward movement (Dow) a realization of Jim Cramers prediction of a 3%-10% correction. OR is this another trap to leave the Bear's Sadly Hybernating over the winter. I hesitated when November gave me access to another IFT. Mostly because I believed that the Market was due a HEALTHY correction too. As always, I second guess the future and play this investment game alittle more conservative. Taking 73% of my TSP Money out of circulation was necessary (for reasons mentioned above) but I never stopped working the balance and haven't regreted it once. I still have 5 figures socked away in the TSP (for now) and plan on doing more IFT's then the BIG BOYS would like. After all, they deserve it !
In conclusion, please know that my absence from the daily fun we use to have comes hard and is yet another change that I had to make. But Steady said it best and my never ending friendship (with all of you) will never change. Yes my friends, I do Love You All very much !

Steady could have never said anything if it had NOT been for Dental Worth, Crispy Critters, Boot Swagger, Molden Rocks, Ballerina Girl, Emily, (or whatever she calls herself at any given moment) - but she will always be Lady to me -- always and forever. Honestly, I'm very serious about that, and without finding the deepest and most wonderful beauty in others there is no way possible I could have been any kind of inspiration - or friend to you. Country Boy also rose up to the highest mountain when he stressed not only had he experienced a similar event but all the more he knew the importance of getting in a support group. He pushed for things that went way beyond my particular knowledge of the heart. Birch was also very huge in knowing the right things to say and do. Frixxxx was very quick to respond with making sure you had goobs and goobs of extra time to tack on. Then you had a ton of others with the hugest hearts like Nasa and Alevie.
So I'm in the same boat as you dear Brother -- in that when you mention any name -- you're bound to leave out many that are equally central to the whole process.
The most important 'Miracle' by far - was that we got a chance to know Teddy Bear and honestly appreciate her 'Bonds' - so we do know how good you have it --- and we're thrilled for you Squale.
For many of 'us' (and they know who they are) - the money stuff is more a habit of little value because we have so much it's like what difference does it make??? Plus in THE END we're all going to figure it out and know where to put our money -- some just know a little earlier.
Be grateful for what you have -- especially Teddy, Lady, Alevie, Nasa, Birch, CB, and all the others... that know you -- admire you -- love you -- and are always there for you --- ALWAYS !!
