So... what do you do for a living?

Retired form the Marine Corps 23 yrs (Finance and Accounting), currently a Government Employee 2yrs (Fiancial Systems Analyst - for the Marine Corps)

I worked in NDI/NDT (Nondestructive Testing) for over 40 years, ...

The Air Force used to have a three digit how malfunctioned code for "inadvertently destroyed as a result of non destructive testing". I tried to use it once after frying a TWT and receiver pre amp all in one smooth move. I was strongly advised to always use 255, no output/improper output.

About those job titles, mine is way too generic and they changed my series number so it no longer matches the title. As long as I remain employed and payed, no matter.

Oh, yeah, what do I do? I am an Electronic Equipment Craftsman for a Power Marketing Agency. Previously a Satellite/Wideband and Telemetry Technician with the USAF. Total federal time going on 38 years. Not sure I can afford to combine it though.

Sorry NDI is inspection of materials defects due to manfacturing or use things like cracks, welding defects, corrosion etc. using methods such as XRay Ultrasonics, Magnetic Partical testing, eddy current testing and others,we kept the ships from sinking or the wings from falling off of the airplanes what the heck are you talking about?

It's that darn Dave Ramsey and my debt free kick! I was an 11 but had to take a reduction to 9 in order to keep from having to uproot my family and move 120 miles. Got back from Afghanistan in November, had a new boss, and he wanted me (forced me) to either move or be reduced into a different position. YES, the violated my USERRA rights. I'm just waiting on a couple of things to fight it.

Understand all that. Just a little 70s AF job humor. Not sure what non destructive testing meant back then. My trainer who watched this happen thought that "how mal" code fit.

Senior Officer Specialist, FBOP

I remember when GRE was on CNN and watching our staff being wheeled out thru the Sally on their way to the Hospital!!! Man, I hope that doesn’t happen again!!! The biggest threat I have with my current job is driving off road to reach some of my remote Mountain top Radio sites... Oh yeah, surviving this crazy Los Angeles Traffic... I currently have 32 years down and counting... Stay safe in BOP Land!!!:cool:
