And just remember everytime you do a round trip your Uncle wants to know - he will have the gross proceeds reported to him on a 1099. GGal will tell you there is no place to hide. Oh wait - you're doing that in a Roth so you have no paper work generated, cool.
 
Thanks guys!!! It has been hard to get back, had to attend a visitation of my favorite teacher. She was one of the greatest women I had in my life, my neighbor growing up, and my second mom. I miss her already.
 
I got the Oscar bug from Robo. I luv that guy, what energy. I keep thinking what Robo said about taking profits and I figured 5% was a good spot.

I'm finding it easier to see the bear runs than seeing the bull runs right now.

And, yes Birch it is very COOL knowing that Uncle will not get a dime.

PS - I nailed 5% for the wifes Roth too.

Economic data will dominate the headlines in the coming week as prognosticators look for telling signs that reveal whether the economy will manage to skirt a recession. February's ISM Indices for both manufacturing and services will be in the spotlight, along with the February employment report. On a related note, retailers will report same-store sales for February on Wednesday and Thursday.

Just in time for tax season, H&R Block (HRB) and Jackson Hewitt (JTX) announce their latest earnings results next week. Other notable companies due to announce include Staples(SPLS), BJ's Wholesale(BJ), Costco (COST), Joy Global (JOYG), and National Semiconductor (NSM).

Separately, with the recent move in oil prices, market participants will certainly be anxious to hear what OPEC has to say at its March 5 meeting. Coincidentally, ExxonMobil (XOM) is holding an analyst meeting that same day as is fellow Dow component Pfizer (PFE).

I know, I know the argument. You pay that money back with taxed income. So what! My tax rate is so low that I almost do not pay taxes. My tax liability this year was $700.

how come your tax only $700? I have to pay 8 times that much. I max out my TSP and use pre-tax health saving plan...etc.

what is your tax saving strategy?

Tax savings stratagey..................I'm poor. LOL No, really I'm poor.

I am fortunate to not have any debt until last Monday when we purchased a new "used" van at a bargain price. That and the TSP loan @ 3.5%. We live in area with very low cost of living. I maxed out mine and my wifes Roth, maxed out my Flexible Spending Account, and dumped a ton of contributions into TSP.

FSA and TSP lowered my AGI big time. Saving for retirement in our Roths gave us $200 each in tax credits and having kids gave us $1,000 for each kid in tax credits. And, then there is I'm poor. :D

Next year will be different as I cut my TSP contributions to 5%, but I did max my FSA again to pay for kids braces, which I paid most of it off. Of the $5k I have $800 left to spend. United Healthcare hates me.

I learned a heck of a lot in this one.

And yes, I see now that Monday may bounce up a bit, but then we head back downward, and sharply.

I will likely be preparing to exit out on Monday-

The boy is right on the money. As long the 50 DMA is trending down as it is now, ultimately the market will head lower. Making money in this environment is possible as long as one is always ready to bounce out at a moments notice. The TSP system doesn't work very well for us in allowing this, whether due to limitations on trades or just the fact that you are always stuck in an overnight position.

You are correct. I have all my limbs, sight, hearing, a wife that loves me no matter how big a ass I am and two wonderful sons.

Money is nothing compared to the things above. :D Glad you enjoy them, I hope they help or at least are entertaining. :D
