Sensei's account talk

You can create groups in FB so that you can post things that only selected folks will see. Chat works for one to one... Hope this helps.

I had a similar situation a few years ago when invited to join a class reunion site. Everyone wanted to friend everyone and got hurt if rejected. Then friends started bitching about anything posted on what was then called the wall. I finally just unfriended all except spouse, kids and siblings. I posted in the reunion group my regrets but I was unfriending everyone. They all got over it and we still exchange messages on the group page. Some just don't seem to understand facebook friendship doesn't mean sh*t. If they love drama they will make a big deal. Those don't deserve your friendship either real of FB. Just do it. If it makes you feel better post it on your news feed or whatever they call it today. Just say things are getting too complicated and your account is compromised. (mine has been hacked twice). They get over it or not.

About those government face book pages-my agency has one but we are blocked from accessing it at work.

Good luck. Just do it.

Long time no post. I've been on the sidelines for quite a while. I'd like to reposition myself for a Santa rally, but I don't trust the market action right now. Europe was down big yesterday, and the US seemed to shake it off, but Asia is down big right now. So who's right and who's wrong? Lately, it seems like I'm usually wrong, so I guess US stocks will probably keep heading higher. Until I capitulate. Pop.

Welcome back and nice to see you posting again. Hope things are going well for your wife and you.

Thanks Khotso! Yeah, the wife is one of the big reasons I haven't been as active on this site anymore. She has one more round of chemo to go - on 12/18! I get 2 weeks off starting on the 20th, so I'll be able to take care of things with a little more sanity. Looking forward to 2015!!!

Interesting. I checked Ocean's List earlier in the week, and it was a pretty even split - 47% in G&F, and 47% in CS&I. As of today, about 5% has shifted into stocks. With December's seasonality, I think everyone wants to be invested. Remember last December though - I believe stocks were down for most of the month before Santa's sleigh pulled them out of the ashes at the last minute. Just be careful a reindeer doesn't stomp on your head whilst making its descent.

TSP'ers are just refusing to get bearish on this market. We're now looking at roughly 39% in G/F, while 56.4% are in the stock funds (CSI). I want to believe in Santa, but it's easier to not believe in most of you.

I'm pushing in. Stocks will not go down during Christmas week. They will NOT, I say!

50% (C)hristmas
50% (S)anta

Merry Christmas to all from Okinawa!:)

That was a dirty trick the way the markets sold off at the very last minute. Coal in your stockings, you filthy bears! :notrust:

Gettin' raked over the coals. This kind of sucks. I think I'll just let it ride for the next 25 years or more.

And two days after a good raking, I'm reset at 0.00% YTD. New beginning. The Nikkei is waning, and our futures are moderately red. Not sure if it's consolidation or another leg down. I guess I'll make that decision later.
