Rumor - Kim Jong-Un Assassinated

I don't know if anyone has much of a clue about this guy. It may hurt prices of video game stocks. I heard he has 10's of thousands of them. :D

Kim Jong-Un- the younger brother named as the new leader of N. Korea.

I wouldn't bank on any assasination just yet. So far all you have is a single Twitter feed from Wiebo. That's not a very dependable, verifable news source.

Now, the UK's Guardian newspaper isn't saying a word yet. If there were some substantial evidence, I'd bank on them having it.

Of course- the Guardinan has the story last month of Kim Jung- Nam- the "other, older half-brother" who lives in China, who was quoted then as saying his younger brother wouldn't last long in power:

North Korea's leader will not last long, says Kim Jong-un's brother | World news | The Guardian

Could get interesting.

BY the way- there was THIS article, just yesterday, where the older brother talked about his younger brother, and the corruption of the current government in the North.

Rumor /ˈrumər/ Show Spelled[roo-mer]
noun
1) a story or statement in general circulation without confirmation or certainty as to facts.

(I know... I'm a wise guy) :D

Would that be a good thing or a bad thing. Now it is after 12 and we will have to deal with being stuck in the market. This could have a big impact on the market.

It would add to the instability in N. Korea and the surrounding region for sure. That whole region seems to be held together by pins and needles any way. Not sure that it is necessarily a market mover though.

I would hope not. But I would think if they started lobbing shells across the 39th parallel it would at least affect the Asian market which would reverberate across Europe and then us.

Agreed. If N. Korea starts lobbing shells and it's not clear who is in charge, that couldn't be good for the markets.

I don't think so. Premier Wen Jiabao met with the Panchen Lama today in Beijing, it would have been after this supposed assasination in Beijing - not likely. (Don't mind the body, really, we are all one Tibet/China Nation!) Plus, scheduling those two in one day for meetings in Beijing, that would be very very odd - you would think if the President for Life Kim was in town, the planned time for his visit wouldn't be interrupted for a meeting with the Panchan Lama.
