Ron Paul warns that this is the ‘biggest bubble in the history of mankind’ and it’s going to burst'

Look to the stock market and you’d assume Wall Street was doing just fine. It’s all built on shaky foundations, said longtime market bear and former Republican Congressman Ron Paul . This market is in the “biggest bubble in the history of mankind,” and when it bursts, it could cut the stock market in half, he told CNBC’s “ Futures Now ” Thursday.

I thought the Dutch tulip bulb market bubble in Holland during the early 1600s was the biggest in mankind's history?

Only if he has a security detail. Thanks for the input nnuut. I was ready to go 100%G. maybe I should anyway based on 90 work days left.

A 90 day countdown!!!!! I started counting down on day 365!:D

I think most folks get/got more conservative minded about stock exposure the closer they get to retirement day. I remember sitting in G and F quite a bit my last year, but ended up with about an 8% return that year. Did my last IFT (as a working stiff) the day before my last day in the office. Go out with a bang I guess.
As for basing my investment strategy on what a politician thinks? Yeah, I don’t think so.

My countdown just shortened considerably. Eldercare situation ramped up bigtime overnight. crossing my fingers I make it to 62 before pulling the plug. life happens while making plans.

I think nnuut meant until the end of work, not necessariy pertaining to his TSP account.

I am trying to do that nnuut but do need to try to wrap up some loose ends as far as how to find the information my peers need to continue to provide the level of customer service our customers are accustomed to.

Did that sound like I am ready to be a manager or what?

I am counting actual work days not calendar days. I created a spread sheet customized to my AWS.

RMI I pulled 100% out of the market in December 2015. The only reason I have anything in C is I left my payroll allocation alone. My earnings have been dismal since.

RazorCat I hope to have time to do some IFTs after actually watching the market after retirement. You are not doing so awfully bad so far this year.

Alevin hang in there. I thought I was going to have to retire to be a full time care giver when my SOs medical situation blew up. There are agencies to help, you can use AL and SL for family medical care and if you run out of leave you can go LWOP for a while if really necessary. Check in to telecommute. Read this. https://www.usbr.gov/gp/employment/neo/tab8/Fam-FriendlyLeavePolicy2011.pdf. Read all of it. Up to 12 weeks. Hardship, yeah but you still have the J.O.B once you get things settled.
