OK so now i'm irate!!!

They discharged her a half hour ago. The doctor didn't even give her the readings from the test. The nurse told her it was an irregular reading on the EKG and have a nice day. I'm calling whoever i can call tomorrow and raising hell. I'm so pissed off right now i might have to call my shift supervisor and ask for the remainder of my shift in sick leave.

I hope your wife is okay...

But I hear ya..pisses me off too...I now go to an Immediate Care clinic near by (which I like, because you get seen almost instantly, no appointment BS and the co-pay is $25.00 just like for the Family Doctor's office visit).. and then if need, they will summons an ambulance, and so it seems, if you arrive to the ER in a lighted chariot

, you get better and quicker attention...

So i woke up today about 2 after working a double lastnight against my will. My wife calls me at 3:30 to tell me she is in the hospital. She had been having chest pains and talking to some doctors they thought it was her gall blatter due in part to her gastric by-pass surgery. Which they say is fairly common to happen after the surgery. So she went to the emergency room today at 10:45 this morning!! She is currently still in the hospital. So far in the 7 hours she's been there they've done a urine/pregancy test, a blood test, a chest x-ray, and an EKG. The urine sample sat in her room for over an hour.

Now i know your thinking that this is an ER and they are busy. This ER has 8 bed in it and only two were occupied. They did have to respond to one code blue at about 11 am. She hasn't had anything to eat or drink or anything for the pain. They supposedly called her gastric bypass doctor and were waiting to hear back from him. Two hours ago she called and talk to both the receptionist and the doctor to find out they didn't call.

So far in the 7 hours she's been there we've found out that her heart rate is only 40 to 43 beats per minute. Seven hours to find this out. With this type of efficency it's a wonder why our health care industry is struggling.

We need to fix this problem with the health care field.
