Oil Slick Stuff

If the dollar continues down stocks should go up and price of oil is up.
If supply is greater the price should go down, if refineries increase volume, if the value of the dollar is going down it could be flat to up,, depending - TIT for TAT.

BHP Billiton First to Start Up Taps in GOM since Moratorium

BHP Billiton Petroleum announced that it is the first company in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico to bring a newly drilled well into production since the moratorium was enacted in May 2010. The well was brought into production on May 30, 2011 on the BHP Billiton operated Shenzi field.
The SB-201 well was drilled to a total measured depth of 25,126 feet and is currently producing approximately 17,000 barrels of oil per day. This is the eleventh producing well within the Shenzi field and our ongoing development program will ensure that this operated tension-leg platform (TLP) remains a significant contributor to BHP Billiton's high value, Gulf of Mexico production.

Saudis Face Opposition to OPEC Quota Increase

By Ola Galal and Grant Smith - Jun 8, 2011 7:16 AM ET

Any effort by Saudi Arabia to push for an increase in OPEC’s oil output target is likely to face resistance from some members, according to Angola, Africa’s second-largest producer.
Ecuador, Venezuela and Angola itself said oil markets are well supplied and that they see no reason to raise production. The group’s 12 members began meeting today in Vienna at 10:30 a.m. local time to decide on output limits.
“People are talking about an increase,” Angolan Oil Minister Jose Maria Botelho de Vasconcelos told reporters yesterday in the Austrian capital. “We have to wait and see. My feeling is there is no need. The market is supplied at this time. There are some geopolitical problems.” http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-06-08/saudis-face-opposition-to-possible-opec-increase.html
