At last check, light, sweet crude for May delivery [CLK11] added 97 cents, or 0.9%, to $109.04 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Gas spike feeds inflation pain

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- High gas prices caused inflation to rise at the fastest pace in more than a year in March.
The Consumer Price Index, the government's key inflation measure, rose 2.7% in March over year-earlier levels, according to Friday's report from the Labor Department. It was the biggest 12-month jump since December of 2009. http://money.cnn.com/2011/04/15/news/economy/cpi_inflation/index.htm?hpt=T2

gas went up a penny today to $3.56 (10% ethanoil, 87 octane)

I paid $3.96 for pure Conoco gas (91 octane)

 Indiana is screwy on gas prices - went from South to the Indianapolis area and saw gas go from 3.85 - to 3.99 around Columbus, and huge drop to $3.56 in Franklin and back up to $3.99 10 miles north of there.

Needless to say big dummy me filled up in Columbus...:notrust:

But I still grabbed a gallon or three of Super in Franklin,, just for the heck of it! :D

On high gas prices Sen. OBAMA: said the problem is not how high that gas prices have risen, but that they went up too fast. 'I think that I would have preferred a gradual adjustment.' Obama said.

"Most of the rich want to give back more.....it's just Washington has never asked them!!!" - Barrack Obama
