A political move, Rubio will WIN the election, Crist is history.

Or maybe MEEK will. :D

Too early to tell. I've seen some really wide swings in the polls in runups to elections- especially when one of the candidates has the IRS sniffing around. Not saying Rubio's numbers are going to fall- - but you never know, especially months ahead of an election. ANYTHING could happen.

Rubio has the Hispanic and Cuban Vote, and I like what he says, of course all of them are Crooks!!:suspicious:

Crist says oil spill proves drilling isn't safe, withdraws his support
This is a perfect example of what I was saying earlier about the BP oil rig disaster...The greenies and their likes are or will be saying;
"I told you so"

Umm.. think about this one for a minute.

We got a slick out there that's 40 miles by 80 miles and growing- and now I read this.

My question becomes- what if it WORKS?

Coast Guard Will Try Burning Oil Spill as It Nears Land
By CAMPBELL ROBERTSON and LESLIE KAUFMAN

Published: April 28, 2010

NEW ORLEANS — Crews responding to the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico will soon light some of the petroleum on fire in an attempt to burn it off before it reaches shore.

I mean- what if the area 40 miles by 80 miles is so dense with oil, that the whole thing catches fire?

I think they ought to think hard about this one.....

If they were smart- they wouldn't try to light the sea on fire.

They should create giant "Floating candles" with wicks, float those into the slick areas, and light the tops...:D

Just put the wick down into the sea, and soak up that oil.

(Maybe we can sing Happy Birthday too! )

Gulf of Mexico oil slick said to be five times bigger

Vessels swept some oil into a fire-resistant boom for a "test burn"

The US Coast Guard says five times as much oil as previously thought could be leaking from a well beneath where a rig sank in the Gulf of Mexico last week. Rear Admiral Mary Landry said 5,000 barrels (210,000 gallons) a day were now thought to be gushing into the sea 50 miles (80km) off Louisiana's coast.
A third leak had also been discovered at the site, Adm Landry said.
One fire-fighting expert told the BBC the disaster might become the "biggest oil spill in the world". [more]

US Coast Guard sets fire to oil leaking in Gulf

The US Coast Guard has set fire to part of a big oil slick in the Gulf of Mexico, in an attempt to save environmentally fragile wetlands. The "test burn" is taking place in an area about 30 miles (50km) east of the Mississippi river delta, officials say.
About 1,000 barrels (42,000 gallons) of oil a day have been leaking into the sea from a well since an explosion on a drilling rig off Louisiana last week.

By Claudia Assis, MarketWatch & Polya Lesova, MarketWatch

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Crude-oil futures rose above $85 a barrel Thursday, lifted by better chances for Greece to secure a financial rescue package as well as by signs of improvement in the U.S. labor market and a decline in the dollar.
Crude for June delivery, the most active contract, gained $1.92, or 2.3%, to $85.15 a barrel on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange.
