E10 jumped to $3.49 locally in Michigan, up from $2.99 a week and a half ago.

Best price for Michigan made E-85 is $1.99.

Can't beat that!

Less than $2 a gallon? But with 25% less gas mileage it kind of takes the sweet off of the cake. Do they have electricity to pump it or are they using buckets?

You live in one of the 3 states with the cheapest gas and you're complaining?
You damn right I'm complaining...the percentage of increases is the same as everywhere else..only difference is the what I pay...so it is relevant to me, because I'm use to these prices...not those rip off gouging prices you have to pay... and for E10 of all things and it is your ONLY choice..man I would be really pissed..:suspicious:

Down here it's averaging $3.15 GALLON AND YOU'RE BITCHIN'? OUR RETIREMENT CHECKS HAVEN'T CHANGED BUT THIS THING KEEPS GOING UPUPUPUPUPUP!
!

Yes I'm bitching, I guess that is the same as complaining:rolleyes:.....Anyway..You are misunderstanding me..My prices of gas is relevant to this area, as your $3.15 is in your area..for me not to complain is like you not complaining about your prices and if so, the greedy oil bastards will keep sticking it to us..so we must ALL complain...just because my prices are lower than yours, don't mean my standard of living isn't impacted when the price of gas goes up..just like you.

You win that one, as usual I'm only thinking about myself, sure am glad we got theat big cost of living adjustment. E10 averaging $3.20 in Boiled Peanut.

Price of regular all over the place. Anywhere from $3.45 to $3.29 a gallon. It's starting to come down again after jumping up $0.25+ just after Christmas.

Train collision in North Dakota sets oil rail cars ablaze

FARGO, North Dakota (Reuters) - A BNSF train carrying crude oil in North Dakota collided with another train on Monday, setting off a series of explosions that left at least 10 cars ablaze, the latest in a string of incidents that have raised alarms over growing oil-by-rail traffic.

Local residents heard five powerful explosions just a mile outside of the small town of Casselton after a westbound train carrying soybeans derailed, and an eastbound 104-car train hauling crude oil ran into it just after 2 p.m. CST (2000 GMT), local officials said. There were no reports of any injuries.

City officials said they heard a series of blasts following the collision, including one at 3:40 p.m. Windows shook at the city auditor's office.

"Approximately 10 cars are fully engulfed resulting in heavy smoke in the area," the Cass County sheriff said in a statement at 4:36 p.m., adding that local fire and hazardous material teams were battling the blaze. The sheriff said it was not yet clear how the collision had occurred.

As I've said before, piping the oil is much safer than transporting it with ground transportation. Wait until the natural gas trains collide! When it happens and it will hopefully it isn't bad because LNG is a devastating killer.

I was wondering last night if Jim would post this accident or not...He didn't let me down..

However as a note of poetic justice, I understand it collided with a Grain car on it's way to the Ethanoil Factory...HA!

E10 today @ $2.95

Heck of a way to run a railroad , eh?

I look forward to hearing what happened this time. Up in Canada last time it was an unmanned train moving on its own. No idea about this one yet. Lucky no one was killed. We can all be thankful for that.

Happy Gnu Year, Buster and Nnuut!

LNG, Oil, Gasoline are all very dangerous but to me LNG is the champ. I use to work building LNG tanks for super tankers, 5 per ship, they were made out of 5083 aluminum and were 120 feet high. If there had been an accident and all tanks were released in New Your harbor it would destroy New York City. It wouldn't be pretty either dieing of asphyxiation, Freezing, exploding or burning. No mercy with Liquid LNG, temperature -350 degrees and it naturally seeks low areas because of the weight, sewers work very well to move this nightmare over the entire city, one spark and it's lights out. Like Pandora's Box if it gets out watch out!
Happy New Year to everyone, we are having friends over for Tenderloin Steaks, I can't wait.
