Get ready to pay less for gasoline, more for heating, DOE says

November 13, 2013, 2:09 PM

By Claudia Assis

Residents of the Northeast will see the biggest jump in prices: 15% to a bill of $1,016 this winter, from $883 last year. The regional differences are due to weather patterns, regional changes in production and regulations, and pipeline capacity, the EIA said.

[h=1]EPA scales back ethanol mandate to avert ‘blendwall’[/h] 5:08 PM 11/15/2013

The Environmental Protection Agency announced it is scaling back its ethanol blending requirement for 2014.
Refiners had voiced concerns about putting more biofuels into the already strained fuel supply.
The agency has lowered the amount of ethanol that must be blended into U.S. fuel supplies from 16.55 billion gallons in 2013 to 15.21 billion gallons in 2014. The refining industry warned the agency earlier this year that refiners were reaching the maximum amount of ethanol that could safely

It seems that people are satisfied with the price of Gas and heating oil, don't hear any complaints so this must be a fair price?

I haven't had to buy #2 heating oil for years. Last time was in Scotland where I believe it was about £1.50 per liter. Which made it about $8.50 per gallon.

What is it going for in the good ol USA these days?

Well I'm sure since FWM's idol and buddy Hugo finally kicked the bucket...Some of the US users will have to find another dictator to hand them free heating oil..

There ain't no shortage of OIL, just a shortage of common sense.:suspicious:

[h=1]Massive Oil Discovery Is Deathblow For Saudis[/h] It's the biggest find in 50 years and the media is completely ignoring it...
It is 6 times larger than the Bakken, 17 times the size of the Marcellus formation, and 80 times larger than the Eagle Ford shale.
All told the recent discovery outside a sleepy Australian town contains more black gold than in all of Iran, Iraq, Canada, or Venezuela.
The current estimates of 233 billion barrels are just 30 billion barrels shy of the estimated reserves in all of Saudi Arabia.
