Oil declines for 8th session as dollar strengthens

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) - Crude-oil futures fell Friday for an eight straight session, the longest losing streak in more than six years, after a stronger-than-expected retail-sales report and consumer sentiment data boosted the dollar and weighed on commodities that are priced in the U.S. currency. How's about in the $50's or below that price objective of $65 on the PF chart before you technically retire in 20 days... but in reality you are a single digit midget, right?

Norm are you actually calling it quits, or are you gonna do a little contract time for while afterwards?...I retire on June 1st, and back to work full time as a contractor June 7th..

I can do that, but if I wanted to work I would stay where I am, GREAT JOB, GREAT BOSS, GOOD MONEY!! I'm going to do WHATEVER I WANT!! I can live on my retirement, house is paid off, Credit Cards almost!! I've plenty to do around the house,might even start working out again, I feel GOOD!! I've been working sense I was 14 and I QUIT!! The wife and I are going to relax and enjoy life, before Old AGE eats us up! Gonna be fun, BBQ, swim, work on what projects I have going, TRAVEL. Where do you see W-O-R-K in R-E-T-I-R-E?

Lucky you..Course I'm only gonna be 55 and still have half my house to pay off and some credit cards too...So the contract time will help pay off all those things in three years..then I'm footloose and fancy free....See you at the beach then..:);)

Iraq oil capacity 'to reach 12m barrels per day'

Iraq has the world's third largest oil reserves, after Saudi Arabia and Iran

Iraq's oil capacity could reach 12 million barrels per day (bpd) in six years, the country's oil minister says. Hussein al-Shahristani told reporters in Baghdad that oil producers would not necessarily operate at full capacity, but would take into account demand.
Saudi Arabia, the world's largest oil exporter, has a capacity of 12.5m bpd.
Earlier, a joint bid by Russian and Norwegian oil firms won the contract for the "supergiant" West Qurna field, said to have reserves of 13bn barrels.

An ancient plant is being cultivated in Tanzania as a lucrative biofuel crop.

The jatropha plant has even been used to fuel a 747, on an experimental flight.
But there are fresh doubts about whether it really is the "green gold" its supporters claim.

Iraqi oilfield contracts awarded

The Iraqi authorities have been awarding more contracts to develop the country's oilfields.

A joint bid by Russian and Norwegian oil companies has won the contract to develop part of the prime West Qurna oilfield in Iraq.
It is believed to have reserves of almost thirteen billion barrels of oil.
Robert Walker reports from Baghdad.
