Oil falls for third day on stronger dollar, demand concerns

By Moming Zhou, MarketWatch

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Crude-oil futures fell Monday for a third session, moving below $70 a barrel for the first time in a week, as a stronger dollar weighed on commodities prices and as concerns about weak demand continued to dampen trading sentiment.
The decline came even after data indicated that the U.S. recession is bottoming out and a recovery is near. Investors were also awaiting the Federal Reserve's two-day policy meeting starting Tuesday. Meanwhile, leaders of the world's most powerful economies will meet in Pittsburgh later this week for the Group of 20 summit.
