Who describes itself as "a global network of artists, activists, writers, pranksters, students, educators and entrepreneurs who want to advance the new social activist movement of the information age.” Note 2
So if I draw a line from this movement to its backers, it’s a socialist movement paid for by socialists (make sure to visit their store!) So, then I can denounce this particular movement as socialist? Right?
I can understand being upset at Wall Street, but shouldn’t 99% of the people be able to stop 1%? Last time I heard how things go, majority rules.
Also, the last time I heard, Wall Street trades shares owned by people, like you and me, and they have the right to make money….you want to change the way businesses actually do their business? Buy their shares and have a voice. Take your movements and monetize their positions in these businesses and then make them operate at the moral/ethical way you want.
“Obama said he understood the public's concerns about how the nation's financial system works and said Americans see Wall Street as an example of the financial industry not always following the rules.” Note 3
Then why is Secretary Holder not filing charges against every major corporation that has broken these rules?
Rights are rights, privileges are privileges. Everyone in this movement shouts they have a right to education, a right to healthcare, a right to a job. But that’s not true, the right is to go to school, right to acquire health care, right to seek employment.
99% of the people need to influence those who have the right to vote. I urge those serious enough to want to change the culture of economics do so where Americans have the most power…not in the streets, but at the polls.
Let's have direction with our vision!
