When the price of Oil detaches itself from Market performance, YES. Until then it just makes things worse.

So everybody is expecting Ben Burntankle to save the country this afternoon. In my opinion Ben is out of ammo and will just be blowing smoke, if he does anything it will make things worse. QE3 won't work in the long term it will further devalue the dollar and throw us deeper down the hole toward insolvency. Raising interest rates will start the SUPER inflation spiral and we surely don't need that. So what will he do, what ever he does will be the wrong thing to do, I'm sure that printing more money will be our downfall and will encourage the rest of the world to remove the dollar from it's evaluated status of being the world's reserve currency and that will be THE END!

I'm hanging in there but out of the Market sense Thursday! Looking for the turn around!
Our Gov't. has to get it's stuff together and do the right thing, fat chance.

Methinks the Chinese Government protesteth too much. It's not as if they are offering the Yuan as the reserve currency. The Euro is currently in no shape to become the reserve currency, neither is the Yen. There aren't enough Swiss Francs or other small economy currencies to do the job. And if putting together a basket of currencies as a basis was easy, OPEC would have had it's own oil pricing regimine a long time ago. Do not get me started with gold - it is too precious a material for industrial uses for it to be stowed away and aged for higher value, as is it were wine.
However, the problem with the dollar being the reserve currency is - when we go down the ripples are big.

The Fed has done this not once, but twice since the bust of Lehman Brothers. Though calls for another round of quantitative easing has been getting louder, taking such a step – at least today – isn't likely, since previous efforts failed to spur much economic growth. What's more, it might actually even backfire by signaling that the economy is in worse shape than the Fed thought.

I'm afraid of being in the F fund. Up almost a percent. It's gotta come back to earth sometime.

Just trying to wait for the right moment to get in the market. Ugh.

And I always thought you get into the G and F funds to lock in gains, not make more of them.

Thursday I went 60 "G" and 40 "F" just a little hedge in case Bonds jumped up in a reaction to the fall in Indexes. But you never know the "F" fund has it's own mind, I think.
