nnuut's Account Talk

SO MUCH BLOOD, here's a BLOOD SUCKING TOOL in verse! :(

Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table
At which he's fed.
Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes
Are the rule.
Tax his work,
Tax his pay,
He works for peanuts
Anyway!
Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.
Tax his ties,
Tax his shirt,
Tax his work,
Tax his dirt.
Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he
Tries to think.
Tax his cigars,
Tax his beers,
If he cries
Tax his tears.
Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
To tax his butt.
Tax all he has
Then let him know
That you won't be done
Till he has no dough.
When he screams and hollers,
Then tax him more,
Tax him till
He's good and sore.
Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he's laid.
Put these words
upon his tomb,
' Taxes drove me to my doom...'
When he's gone,
Do not relax,
It's time to apply
The inheritance tax.

Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, and our nation was the most prosperous in the world. We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids. What the heck happened? Can you spell 'politicians!'

nnuut,
I think that pretty much covers the taxes. I believe I seen all those on my last property tax bill.

KC,
I talked to the blood bank, for a small fee they will let you have YOUR blood back. Minus taxes of course.

SO MUCH BLOOD, here's a BLOOD SUCKING TOOL in verse! :(

Tax his land,
..... Workers Compensation Tax

I'll copy and paste this - and put it to music ... THANKS

Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, and our nation was the most prosperous in the world. We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids. What the heck happened? Can you spell 'politicians!'

I can't help but BELIEVE that when brought into being many of these things were appropriate for that specific time... but over time what started off as a 'Good and Practical Solution' became so widely abused that 'IT' along with so many other things did more to ruin Society than help it.

I wish everyone was given a 'FAIR CHANCE' to prove themselves - and regardless of race or gender or where ever the hell they come from - If they are in the U.S.A. then they are fully given the opportunity to either fail or succeed.

It may sound COLD - but I firmly believe in 'Tough Love' - and that means the ones who succeed DO NOT REWARD the ones who fail.

It's possible - and only possible as a result of a MAJOR RECESSION WITH FULL BLOWN DEPRESSION - that we as a Nation can force the mindset that is needed. 'You get what you earn and keep what you save'; 'If you live beyond your means then you simply do without'

Absolutely, and don't force me to help someone out, let it be my choice.
Ask and you shall receive, Demand and you might get more than you bargained for.:D

FED TALK!!
Watch out FED's Ben Burntankle is speaking, you know how that can effect the market.

Market Update

1:30 pm : Fed Chairman Bernanke continues through his speech, in which he stated the Fed's monetary easing has been reflected in significant declines in a number of lending rates. However, that has been offset by widening credit spreads, more restrictive lending standards, and dysfunction in credit markets.
Bernanke noted the Fed has developed a second set of policy tools that involve the provision of liquidity directly to borrowers and investors in key credit markets.
In a separate speech, Chicago Fed Presidant Evans stated the Fed is still considering buying longer-term Treasuries, according to Dow Jones. Reuters reported that Evans stated the U.S. economy is shrinking at a disturbing pace, and conditions call for more stimulus.

Meredith Whitney: "I don't want to work for anyone else anymore, and I want to broaden what I do."

President Obama and Congress have hammered out a stimulus package to save your job, your home and your investments.
Will it work? How quickly? And where will Americans first start to see this reversal of fortune?
CNN's Ali Velshi and a panel of experts analyze his rescue plan.
Panelists include David Gergen, CNN Sr. Political Analyst and Andy Serwer, Managing Editor of Fortune Magazine.
Friday at 11 p.m. ET

NEW YORK (Fortune) -- Meredith Whitney, the Oppenheimer & Co. banking analyst who called Wall Street's meltdown, is leaving to start her own business. And she says Fortune had a hand in her decision.

"It was the incredible women I met at the Fortune Most Powerful Women's summit that gave me the final push and confidence to go for it," says Whitney. "I am overwhelmed with support from incredibly inspiring people, many of whom I met at that conference." (Conference organizer, senior editor Pattie Sellers, shares her own thoughts about Whitney's move.)
But even before the summit, she was already laying the foundation of her new business, to be called Meredith Whitney LLC. To keep her shop truly independent, she rebuffed interested investors and put up all of the capital herself. [more]

"/The firm that bears her name will be grounded in her research (her "true passion"). But it won't be just about issuing notes to clients. She eventually intends to advise companies as well. And in March, she will be on a steering committee to advise the G20 on how to respond to the credit crisis. /"

I didn't know beans about Meredith before, but it appears that she could replace any one of several of Obama's cabinet "gurus", if she's half as good as that article depicts.
