Still stuck in the "G"!! Rally might be over by the time I get Parole? View attachment 3963
I jumped into the G on the 20th. I am still ahead a small % if I had stayed where I was before I jumped. Keep the faith. :) Got to let next week start to play out before I decide to get back into the game. Darn limited IFT's. Long has to be smiling.

Possibility it will be headed back down next week before the up trend is established, guess we just have to wait and seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee?View attachment 3966

I'm heading out on a trip today 260 miles one way!!:( Going to test out those Gas prices today.:worried: The 4Runner gets about 22 on the highway so it shouldn't be so bad. Let's see 23 gallon tank at $3.84 a Gal = $88.32 a fillup!View attachment 3967

FYI, i boosted my in town mpg from 17.1 to 19.8 in my FJ Cruiser by using some basic hypermilling techniques like keeping the accelerating rpm to less than 2k, shutting off the engine at stops greater than 15 sec, driving 55 mph on the freeway and coasting where i can. Kinda fun to see the max you can save.

Some radical mileage!
http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com/SavingandDebt/SaveonaCar/Get50MpgInYourOwnCar.aspx?page=1

In 2006, at the Honda Insight Marathon in Tonkawa, Okla., using driving tactics both mundane and exotic, Gerdes and his teammates went 2,254 miles on a single 13.7-gallon tank of gas. That's an average of 165 miles per gallon for a vehicle with an EPA rating of 60 city/66 highway. During one of Gerdes' runs on the 40-mile course, mpg peaked at 200.

Check this out.....I've got some on order last night.

http://www.mygassaver.net/index.htm

:cool:Did the math on this, 1-2 ounces per 10 gallons need to get the performance.

15 Gallons = 3 0unces of product
16 Ounce per container X 6 containers (best deal) = 96 ounces
96/3 = 32 fillups
24 MPG (average) * 15 gallons = 360
15000 miles a year driving
15000/360 = 41 fillups a year
41 fillups * 15 gallons * $4.00 = $2460
Save (advertised minimum $0.20) a gallon
41 fillups * 15 gallons * $3.80 = $2337
Savings in gas cost $2460-2337 = $123
Cost of product to cover 32 fillups for a year $159.95

I haven't even covered my fillups with 6 containers and I'm losing money $27.00...If I keep going adding everything up, it will get worse. Now the gift card scam may look good but when it comes down to brass tacks, Which gas station will honor these and support this product?

And don't forget the ounces you have to add to your oil (5-6 every oil change).

SCAM SCAM SCAM:cool:

Scam?..I don't believe that for a minute...

My friend's report so far....

I received my first shipment of Ethos, it comes in 16oz plastic bottles, the stuff is a perfectly clear liquid, no smell at all, and thick ... like a syrup, I put an once in my tank per 10 gals of fuel. It's too early to report on gas mileage but after only 35 miles I have noticed something very unusual ... I have performance Corsa dual exhausts on both my H3's, with dual-wall chrome tips ... the black soot I usually see inside those exhaust tips is GONE! That can only mean one thing, we all know the black soot inside your exhaust is hydrocarbon, better know as unburnt fuel, I like it already, constantly cleaning those exhaust tips really sucked. I'll post any mileage improvements here the next time I fill up. Also, the label says there are no petroleum based ingredients in it, only ESTERS, whatever those are?

Later:
....I also got an emissions test (tailpipe type, like the state uses) my exhaust is near spotless now and my hydrocarbon emmission readings have dropped dramatically from 110 to 5. To me, that translates into a more efficient and cleaner fuel "burn". As far as fuel types ... Ethos is presently being used on; The Space Shuttle, Commercial Aircraft, FAA & Government vehicles, The Unser Formula One Race Car (confirmed), Truckers, ... okay let's stop right there ... I believe that just about covers gasoline, diesel oil, hi-octane race fuel, alcohol, kerosene, varnolene, etc. Okay, results ... First 20 gal tank ... two (2) 10 gal fillups with one (1) oz of ethos per 10 gals. showed a 12% increase in mileage, that's with about 80% highway miles, no significant increase in horsepower (although I have not really pounced on the accelerator ... I don't do that normally so doing it now, I believe, would only introduce errors in the results). Yes it's true that they recommend 1 oz of Ethos to each quart of oil in the crankcase, so I did put 5 oz of Ethos in my crankcase at the start. They recommend this be done at each oil change. The coupons, no rocket-science here either, it's pretty straigh-forward, you tell them what gas station you plan to use, Shell, Mobil, Chevron, Marathon, etc., and they send you a coupon with the name of that gas station on it that is good for the purchase of anything at that gas station. My choice was Marathon because there is one right down the corner from my house. Note: Once you declare a Brand of gas, you are not committed to a particular location, just the brand. (This committment obviously applies only to the $100 in coupons for that brand ... after that do what you want!) Summary so-far: I paid under $60 bucks for 32 ozs of product, enough for #16 x 20gal tanks of fuel ... they gave me $100 in coupons back, Okay I'm ahead $40, then figure in a 12% increase in mileage, a cleaner exhaust, and less environmental impact. By the way, I'm pushing 60 ... and I thought I was skeptical ... Yikes! Note: The web-site says the $100 coupons apply to ANY PURCHASE ... that's why I bought the MINIMUM purchase of two 16oz bottles, so far I have not found anything that says you cannot do this over and over again. I'm running both my H3's on this now, one automatic and one stick-shift, more results will follow

Asylum,

Thank you for this information, I do a lot of that already to get better mileage, but found new tips I am going to start implementing immediately. However, never thought of an ice vest. Thought they were not available to the general public. Now, THAT would be something I would be very interested in. Do you (or anyone else) know where I can find one??

A -OH molecule is used for lubrication functions. Now, that being said, if your moving parts are lubricated better than with normal fluids, it could affect the functionality and better performance. But even as your friend said, it is driving "habits" that you really have to exercise. I think if everyone conciously attempted to change their own "habits", that alone would drop their gas usage and up their mileage.

But as he said..he didn't change his driving habits in order to keep his testing results unbiased...The exhaust emissions and clean tail pipe says a lot about the product and combustion efficiency IMO...I can't wait to try it..Can't lose much with the $100.00 coupons to boot.
