nnuut's Account Talk

I'd like to think that would work, but I can't see McCain giving up two of his basic tenants which are a large part of the mess we are in: a costly war and financing it on credit. I just wish the American people would man up and decide if we want to stay at war we should sacrifice a bit. If that means raising taxes so we can't buy that new car, so be it. If that means having war bonds, great. But by running this war on credit with absolutely no sacrifice by the vast majority of the public (hell, we even get tax breaks) we are just ruining our economy. Not just now, but during our retirement years we'll still be paying.

Sorry for the rant but I just hate the fact that a few of our best and bravest (and their families) are the ones sacrificing the most while the rest of us do little but paste a yellow bumper sticker on our cars.
I completely agree, even worse the best and the bravest also are younger and thus putting off the bill will only make it more likely they will pay yet again out of their wallets.

I really don't see any good reason for this rally today. It should turn around and end up at a slight loss. What's the deal with the S&P STATEMENT STUFF, WITH SO MUCH WRONG TODAY WHY IS THIS DRIVING THE MARKET. I might seem to be a little suspicious, yes I am and with good reason.

Oh well, you never know?:o

Here we go again!! The CPI numbers come in GOOD? Everyone knows that someone is COOKING THE BOOKS!!:mad:View attachment 3538

What does this do to the possibility of a .75% rate cut Tuesday? Well it looks like inflation is under control (), so the FED can can lower rates (and drag the dollar further down)Oil should rise again, so do I jump in the Market? Is this the Bottom? How about Bear Sterns being saved by the FED? This is NNUUTS~!

Seems to me that this Bear Sterns Bailout may encourage the FED to drop rates at least .75% Tuesday. Where is the bottom? Could be time to take the plunge, but Maybe NOT!:worried:

Probably just short covering...

...might be worried the FED will learn how to (or at least say they can) defecate golded eggs over the weekend :-)

Yeah, looks like they took their profits and hit the Steet just in time. Monday Might bounce, you notice I said MIGHT!:worried:

Fortunately - we know a bounce is inevitable - pretty much guaranteed.

Don't believe me  Just ask Birchtree :cheesy:

Hey, didn't Birchtree say we closed up today? I could have swore he looked at the MCSUM and did some Fourier analysis and then examined planetary alignment and Fibonacci and the Golden Rule etc and DAMMIT THE MARKET WAS UP - I DON'T CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS!!!!!! - IT'S ALL ONE BIG CONSPIRACY - I KNOW IT HAS TO BE DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!;):D:nuts::laugh:
