man sounds good i am burning pork ribs this coming weekend my step dads B DAY 84 and theres so much more i hope :D

Nnuut,

I bbq'd some pork chops and baby pork ribs yesterday that were out of this world, I just didn't prepare enough for people to have more than 2 ea. I marinated them (after boiling them, of course to get rid of the homrones and all the other stuff) for over 12 hrs with lots of onions and garlic, plus a rub of may own, used Sonny's sweet bbq sauce, and they were to die for!

Just had ribs at JR's in Norman. They literally melted away. MMM MMM GOOD!

I'm salivating like a Pavlov dog, sounds so good!!:D I can almost smell it!:toung: We know how to BBQ in Central GA!!

It was about 20 bucks for my wife and I. I think I got a 2 meat combo, which includes 2 sides as well. I got ribs and brisquet, but next time I'm gonna get all ribs. They also have 4 types of bbq sauce on the table.

My only complaint is that they did not give me any extra napkins, so beware!

I didn't know ribs that tender were possible. Go enjoy a side and report back.
 
man my brother bought them @ JRs where is the pork i must have had yesterdays, today dry and very little pork more like pork jerky with a bone i will give them one more chance :D . me i use 2 lemons, 1/3 cup sherry , 1/3 stick butter, 1/4 cup apple vinager, and a beer that has made it past its due date or cup of water, very littlesalt alot of pepper , bbq rub from wallie world bring to a boil pour over pre rubbed ribs let sit overnight in turkey pan in fridge put in oven about 200 to 250 3 hrs fairley tender but where you can still pick them up to put out in smoker, then to the pecan or apple wood smoker about 3 hrs if this dont fall apart cut them up and put back in oven till they fall of the bone, step dads is 84 need to be very tender but he loves them and HEAD COUNTRY regular or hot n spicey bbq sauce ok now i am hungry come on Sunday:D
 
I'm STILL 50% "G" and "F", this is really boring. Looks like the Market started UP this morning, will most probably end up lower today.:worried: WalMart will support it a bit but might not hold. Opps, is that a prediction, I never make Predictions? Well heck let it ride, you never know?:laugh:

Stocks lose steam as oil sputters

Wall Street gives up all of the day's advance as crude prices settle at record $100.01. Energy stocks rise, while telecoms tumble.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Blue chips were little changed, while the Nasdaq declined Tuesday afternoon as oil prices settled at a record $100.01 a barrel, boosting energy stocks, but also ramping up fears about a consumer-spending recession.

Weakness in telecom stocks and the latest problems for the bank sector also played a role in the afternoon turnaround.
The Dow Jones industrial average (INDU) and the broader Standard & Poor's 500 (SPX) index both lost a few points with just under an hour left in the session. The Nasdaq composite (COMP) lost 0.7%.
All three major gauges had posted big gains through the mid-afternoon, but gave up most of that advance as crude oil prices gained momentum amid ongoing worries about potential OPEC production cuts coupled with the fallout from a Texas refinery fire.
The advance didn't seem to be based on anything new and was therefore probably not sustainable, said Joseph Saluzzi, co-head of equity trading at Themis Trading.
"You can get these quick rallies here and there, even for a day or a week, but there's still a downtrend," he said.
Regarding the rise in oil prices Tuesday, he said that while it boosts the energy stocks, it clearly weighs on investor sentiment as well. Additionally, gold prices surged nearly $24 Tuesday, reflecting inflation fears.

Ever feel like a mouse being played with by a cat?
This day's sell off sure feels just like that - very low volume early, market rises, but I was expecting a last hour, sell-off. Well turned out to be a last 2-hour sell-off - and sure felt like it was institutional (i.e., Banks), with the late high volume - ripping the guts outta the little guy, little-by-little, each day, to make back their losses?
