nnuut's Account Talk

Nnuut and Kar, Have a totally off-topic question. I knocked the cap off my gas can and spilled gas in my truck. Any suggestions for getting the smell out? I've tried baking soda and the crystal things so far. Better but still pretty rank. Any ideas you have would be welcomed.
may sound KRAZY, but sliced apples under seat helps on some odors , we had burnt flesh in a car, this helped but you never could get it all out:sick:

You got that right! Most of it splashed on the passenger seat. Leather seats but sides are fabric. I'll try the carpet shampoo first and see how it works. If not the apple slice idea might be worth a try. Thanks!

From the internet - seems reasonable:

Materials Needed:

rag
baking soda
white vinegar
vacuum
hot water
2 mixing bowls
Procedure:

Use the rag the scrub the spot soaked with gasoline.
In one bowl, mix some vinegar with hot water.
Create a baking soda solution in the other bowl.
Apply the vinegar solution on the affected areas of your carpet.
Dry the area using a rag or your vacuum cleaner.
Once done, apply the baking soda solution on your carpet.
Dry the area using a rag or your vacuum cleaner.
When your carpet dries, the gasoline smell will be gone.
