nnuut's Account Talk

2% might not keep up with inflation, but at least I have a job. This is more than some of my neighbors can boast. I will be very grateful for any raise we managed to squeak out with next year. As the economy continues to decline I think the various departments will be asked to do there part and cut budgets, starting with DOD.:( That will be a sad day IMO.

Take a look at this webpage and scroll down to the chart.
Take note of January 2009. It was surprising to me. ;)

Yeah, RIGHT! Another fine example of why half of what I read on the "www" is obvious b---$--!. Amazing how numbers can be so deceiving, ain't it? I'm guessing they're using "deflated" housing prices as a factor for their calculation of inflation, since houses are now so cheap, and dropping gas back down from over $4 last summer to under $2 now didn't hurt much either. So, if the average rate of inflation for 2008 was 3.85% and it's now 0.03% for January 2009, I should feel like I have money to burn!

Looks like "BIG BROTHER" has arrived!!!

More good stuff here, maybe the Gov't will pay for us to have a bidet installed in our bathrooms, I'd love to have one!:D

American taste for soft toilet roll 'worse than driving Hummers'

Extra-soft, quilted and multi-ply toilet roll made from virgin forest causes more damage than gas-guzzlers, fast food or McMansions, say campaigners
Suzanne Goldenberg, US environment correspondent

The tenderness of the delicate American buttock is causing more environmental devastation than the country's love of gas-guzzling cars, fast food or McMansions, according to green campaigners. At fault, they say, is the US public's insistence on extra-soft, quilted and multi-ply products when they use the bathroom.

It sounds like an electronic version of the old Hoover spying days, but I guess electronic spying is acceptable since they are behind it and this was the same group that opposed Hoover's spying or any evesdropping that manner, but lets not let history get in the way.

If you're not a good boy and go to an event not approved by BHO, you'll may find yourself on a WatchList". Oh well, they'll spin it that they are doing it for the best of the country, blah, blah blah. The socialist possibilities are just endless.

Ain't it great not to have the term hypocrisy in your vocabulary. You can agree to anything hen the mood or situation suits you.

Did our new President say today that now might be a good time to buy stocks - that's a change in attitude if true that would be welcome. We need more positive strokes from his administration. Even his constituents that work at the local Burger King have a 401K program that can grow over the years.
