Don't mean to sound arrogant, but any normal person still driving a 20 year old car, "SHOULD NOT DRIVE".
Car technology has increased exponentially in the past 10 years, and a used 2020 car thats in good shape doesn't cost more than 7-10K in most cases (unless its a Tesla), so driving a junker is just plain stupid.

I drive a 2018 Nissan Rouge AWD Hybrid. Zero issues in the 5+ years I've owned it...but I'm sure that in 20 years there will be some airbag issues, which I won't be partaking in.

Well then, what about a 60 - 70 year old car? There are some nice choices out there.
