Will todays start be the start of a rally or will it be another opportunity for people to take some more money off the table. My opinion, without knowing how the day will progress, is that I like what I see so far this morning. The market this yr so far has been hard to predict and indications are that it may not get any easier. I will stay the course with my current fund allocations( C - 50%, S - 50%). I would like to play the I fund, but, the world economic climate just has too much uncertainty for me to feel comfortable doing so, not that I'm all that comfortable being 100% stocks, I just feel that the US market is where I want to be thru next week. I am looking for today to be up, some follow thru tomorrow, then the weekend for investors to digest what has transpired this week and start Monday of next week off with a bang. Wishing you the best in your investing, no matter where your money lies.

Do ya'll realize that today was the 1st day this yr that the markets went up on good volumn!!!! Let me repeat that again, 'Do ya'll realize that today was the 1st day this yr that the markets went up on good volumn!!!!' I emphasize that because I feel it is important to the direction the market may take in the short term. Up until today, high volumn this yr meant the market was down. Our up days were on low volumn, which is never a good sign. We almost had an all "2" day. DOW up 205 pts or 2%, NASDAQ up over 2%, S&P up almost 2% at 1.95. NYSE vol over 2 Billion shares traded and the NASDAQ vol almost 2 Billion at 1.94. Normally I would like totake some money out ofstocks on such good numbers, but I feel stocks are still cheap at their current valuations. Like I said earlier today, today was a do or die situation, well guess what, the doctor prescribed just the medicine we needed to bring us back to life. Where do we go from here, UP, for the short term is my guess. I hope most of you sleep better tonight and don't worry about tomorrow. Your profits today won't be taken back tomorrow, maybe, at least I hope not!!!!!!!! No more picsfor a while.

Added: Justoff the wires. Major companies reporting earnings after the bell have soundly beaten street estimates. Should bode well for the markets tomorrow.

Be it up or be it down today is the question on everyones mind. After yesterdays impressive runup it may pull back a little today on the remaining bears going into hibernation. Two things I will be looking at today are: volumn and closing numbers. If volumn is down for the day from yesterday, then the direction means little. The reason for the runup yesterday is still in place and I expect to see the market gain ground next week if we do not have any major surprizes on earnings to the down side. I may make a transfer later this morning. Have a good one!!!!!!!!!

Decisions, decisions, decisions. Plenty of earnings coming out next week, dollar falling. Put in transfer for COB today. C - 20%, S - 40%, I - 40%.The market is holding up well today, may turn a little positive before the close or may remain on the negative side. No big deal either way. Have a great weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I got my vittles going, stewed bear meat smothered in gravy and onions, turnip greens & roots, tators and apone of cornbread. Think I cooked enough to lastthe rest of the week. Since I don't have no refrig, hope it does not sour before being consumed, but if it does, I'll just go get me another one of them there bears, pick some fresh turnips and tators and cook another pone of cornbread. See ya later, gotta go eat my grub.

Someone was kind enough to send me a smallice boxfrom rising corporate profits being reported after the bell. My belly is about to pop from eating so much.Guess I want have to go bear hunting tomorrow, seems most are hiding anyway. Think I will finish off the remainder of the pone with some ribbon cane syrup and fresh churned butter with a little gravy on top. My tounge is already slapping my jaw waiting to dig in. Wish you all the best, see ya tomorrow now.

I may have over done it eating bear yesterday, have a touch of indigestion today. Took me some baking soda and water to settle my guts down, seems to be working. Other wise things seem fairly calm today so far, hope we do not get one of those surprize thunder storms this afternoon. A little rain would not be bad though. Tomorrow could be one of those get up or get down days. I'm betting that oil and gas inventories being reported will be better than expected, also earnings,so I have moved all my cash to the S fund. Going to take me a nap and check on things later today. Ya'll be good now!!!!! or be the best you can be !!!!!!!!!! Later.

Hot dang it, another one of those afternoon storms. No matter what tomorrow brings I'll take my loses or gains and head for the barn. It seems we can not get those bears to hibernate for long. Frankly, I've decided they are just taking naps waiting to chew on my behind. What can I tell you. If you have any profits pack up and get out of town, if you have loses, pack up and get out of town. Like the song, "She'll be coming round the mountain when she comes", the only problem is trying to decide when that might be. We have had better earnings overall than expected, inflation is under control, sure, oil is high, but could be worst, this market wants an excuse to go farther down. I think after tomorrow I'll start using the bears strategy, nap and sneak in every now and then between thunder storms.

I've been bitten, gored, stomped on an just plain beaten up. I guess I love pain.

Staying the course - 100% S
