Howdy folks,

I'm new to the forum. Talked with some buddies on a TDY and they said to come check out the page. I've been letting my TSP just sit in the L2030 fund. I've got 14 years in and would like to more a little more active with my account. I'm thinking about doing the TSPtalk plus program.

Could anyone direct me to the best forum for information on how would be the best way to start this? Thanks for the warm welcome and hope to be on daily!

Welcome, Krampus!! Lots to read for someone just coming on. I actually applaud your staying in a Lifecycle fund, instead of leaving it in G Fund. Next question is have you been contributing at least 5%. Even better if you have been consistently HIGHER than 5%!!

All the premiums are good in their own ways. I would recommend Intrepid Timer, but that's just me.

Make sure you put in your own Account Talk, and sign up for the Autotracker if you are so inclined (they are free, and just for fun. But it is a good way to see how you are doing compared to everyone else....and there ARE prizes!). :D

Thanks for the reply. I'll give all of the premium services a close look. I've been maxing out my contributions since I hired on in 2003. Unfortunately, I'm stock market illiterate. Looks like this is a great place for me to learn.

Welcome aboard Krampus.
Tsptalk is a great site to help you learn how to manage you TSP account. I followed this site throughout much my LEO career, and made a great deal of money follow the advice. One of the premium services is definitely worth the subscription fee. Intrepid Timer and the Plus System have both worked well for me personally. Some very knowledgable members on here too.

Welcome to the Forum Krampus, the more you read and TALK the better off you are.:D
Best of luck with your TSP!
Norman

Welcome from a retired LEO. I echo the sentiments of others suggesting a Premium subscription.

Welcome and don't feel bad, I am in the same boat, too. This site is not just about investing. There are other topics discussed here, too. Retirement, Social Security, etc.
