Welcome. I agree the L2040 is a good place to get started. Put as much as you can in as soon as you can. Early career contributions and thier compounding earnings will out weigh later contributions several times over. To get use to the trading game you could do it make believe for a while to get the feel. You might be able to teach yourself some lessons before actually suffering the pain and reality of making wrong moves.
 
I just started TSP. Not sure wat im doion yet any one got any addvice? Maybe some pointers?:)

Max out your retirement account whenever you can.
Make it automatic so you'll never miss it.
Besides TSP and traditional IRA also look at ROTH IRA.

I personally think TSP talks long tern strategy is better if you have 15 or more years. Any ways welcome, sit back and learn.
