Speaking of real estate, there appears to be some good news for a change.

Take a look at this graphic- citing total new home sales over the last 20 years. Looks like we finally have a change in direction of the "off the cliff" decline that has been killing us for the past three years.

It's not much to go on, but heck- I'll take any positive sign I can find these days!
 
New home sales declined 5.9% month-over-month in May

New home sales declined 5.9% month-over-month in May to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 769,000 (Briefing.com consensus 873,000) from a downwardly revised 817,000 (from 975,000) in April.
  • On a yr/yr basis, new home sales were up 9.2%.
