New Bee here

Devildog90, Welcome aboard. Scout333 and crommie gave some very sound advice. There are some very good people to learn from around here. Read a lot and participate and you will get better at what YOU want to do with your TSP. Start up your own thread and get started in the autotracker. Good luck. That's something we all need.

Hi all Im new to the forums and want to learn as much as possible about how to invest in my tsp. I currently invest 5%. I got 18 years until I can retire. so any help would be appericated. Have moving back and forth between c,s and g funds.

Welcome Devil, You've got time on your side. Tip of the day is to invest as much as possible as early as possible! i.e. additional 5% now will earn much more towards your retirement than waiting until 5 years before retirement to start boosting your contributions. Sounds simple but many of my co-workers have missed out by waiting.
Good luck with your investing! Lots of smart folks here to learn from!:)

Welcome to the Message Board Devildog90 and best of luck with your investments.

If you steer me in the right direction i would appericate it would like to find a seasoned mentor. I am eager to learn.

Welcome to THE TSP Board DD90! When you find that "seasoned mentor" please let the rest of us know who it is...
But seriously, there are a lot of experienced folks that post not only what they are doing, but more importantly, why they are doing it. There are others that don't say much, but when they do, pay attention... Read the forum entries everyday and watch the autotracker "recent IFTs" and standings. Set up an autotracker account to track your own progress too. The monthly standings are good to see who is doing well now, not back in Jan through April, which is where a lot of the yearly gains were made. Probably the most important thing to know is that NO ONE HERE is a professional investment manager and no one will tell you what to do with YOUR MONEY. That is for you to decide.
Best of Luck to you!
