Wouldn't it be nice if the Lakers didn't win another championship in the WW-NBA? not that I'm intimating that there is any favoritism shown in this sport:laugh:

i was hoping the jazz could string out the lakers and wear them down a bit for the suns but no go.
what do the los angeles lakers and goldman sachs have in common?
they're both too big to fail, and it don't hurt to have the authorities in your back pocket.
i hope the jazz get rid of that loozer boozer for next year, let them young kids run. only worse player they could have would be bynum, pronounced beenum.

Yeah, you got that exactly right, burro! But that was a great game wasn't it?! Right down to the wire and we were scrapping all the way. I'd like to pin a medal on Matthews. Not many undrafted rookies could keep their composure like he did.

Oh, yeah! I am a serious basketball fan! I've always said that my two favorite teams are the Jazz and whoever is playing the Lakers. So I'm sad that the Jazz are going to get beat in this playoff series after taking three of the four games in the regular season. But with Kirilinko and Okur both out and D-Will as banged up as he is, we don't have much of a chance.
Yes, burro, I remember the pain of the '98 playoffs well. We'd have had Game 6 if Bavetta hadn't made those two bad calls. Cost us 5 points and Bulls won by only 1. The fact that Bavetta apologized to Sloan after for the bad calls really made us all feel so much better.
And the Spurs are my second favorite team to watch. Of course, Parker is such a good point guard that they wouldn't be much fun to watch in Jazz games if D-Will wasn't so good. Popovich coaches a lot liKe Sloan does. Expects players to bring their lunch pail and get to work!
I think the finals this year are going to be the Lakers and the Cavs. And I hope that King James kicks Kobe's butt!

i've always been a fan of the Jazz. old friends brother-in-law used to get great tickets to the salt palace, near half court almost on the floor level. there was no better example of teamwork and good guys working hard than stockton and malone w/ supporting cast.
what is it about the underdog that makes me root for them? always thought doing it right should pay off but they never made it. came close but that dam MJ beat 'em at the buzzer, again. with the flu no less, the flu!
about this time of year, i always get my hopes only to have them dashed by the realities of the game today: money, privelege, and selfish stardom are rewarded. maybe if i prepare for the impending doom early this time it won't dissapoint me so much when it happens, again.
