Nazi Economics

Oh, you mean like the School of the Amerikas located in the South East US? Where we train terrorists to go south of the border to kill people and break things in the name of fighting Communism? Even if this means that they end up killing women and children half the time.

KevinD, Drama Llama looks like a new star, not just a cabinet possibility but maybe the next Bond or a Bond woman.

Among the Pantheon of the Dark Sides against America, I think many Americans, especially more conservative ones, subtly respect a number of aspects of National Socialism. I am in awe of how elegantly and quickly our government's Academy Award calibre propanganda machine moves us rugged (sp?) free thinking individualists from our last evil adversay to our new evil empire villans. Having defeated the Nazi/Fascist axis militarily had little influence on our admiration for National Socialism's government/business efficiency. So, not surprising with our favorable attitudes toward efficiency(trains on time) that we were more than ready to finally recognize and detest the clumsily administered but spreading Communist evil empire. Consider our support for Fascist regimes in Latin/South American for the last half of 20th century.

[FONT=Times New Roman, Times, serif] Nearly every day brings new reports of the collapse of a large financial institution or the impending bankruptcy of a major company. Plans for bailouts and government intervention are in the air. Even those who profess devotion to free enterprise have wavered. Are we not faced with an emergency that calls for immediate action to "save" capitalism? Faced with this situation, we need to be more resolute than ever in defense of the free market, with no government restrictions whatever. If we do not defeat these measures, we face grave danger. The record of National Socialist Germany during the 1930s shows how quickly government intervention leads to full-scale socialism....
