this song always reminds me of my dad, maybe some of the older generation will get it, "the man with the plan and a pocket comb".

one time at a critical point in life my dad gave me an oldsmobile delta 88, 1974 jet gloss black and revinyled top with the 455 engine. oh my god that beast could fly! when you would romp on it the thing would growl, not quick out of the gate it was heavy but unlimited horses would take you out so far and so fast you had to let off the pedal before you peed your pants, perfect for long flat prairie roads. eventually i blew the engine, took it too far too long too hot and blew the head gaskets and warped the whole thing beyond repair, it was still accelerating when it popped, that thing was a rocket. we had some good talks in that car before it was mine, and yes after it was mine that car for sure knew some secrets. god may drive a silver thunderbird, but his commute car is probably a delta 88. thanks dad.

Nice acoustic finger picking lesson, amazing what you can do with simple open chords, the fruits of practice practice are rewarding. Very nice. And if you keep practicing daily like this young lady in the video you will find yourself playing like a pro, all over the fret board, lightning speed, and playing the different scale modes, the minor, major scales, incorporating the Dorian, the Phrygian, the Lydian, the Aeolian etc etc. It all begins by learning playing the nice tunes such as the one McDuck posted above. Although that is an advanced little tune. This young woman is throwing everything at you as she covers a Steve Vai classic. Learn how to play guitar, mastering simple tunes are so (again) rewarding. Best get off this soap box already TSPR. Have a great week all.

One of my favorite songs in the Dorian mode.
