Medic72's Account Talk

Ok i was doing more research on the I fund the other day reading old I fund threads and found one from lost dog about a year ago, didnt seem to get much response, I have a question about it as well.

When we hear about china or japan or whomever is buying up America etc. it makes us ill right?

......when we invest in foreign stocks (I Fund) doesn't that make us just as bad?

Investing in a foreign company owed by that foreign country is what I believe the I fund is doing. China and/or Japan buying a complete company within a foreign country is totally different. Is that what you are asking?

If you believe, like I do, that a (Big) company needs to compete globally to 1. Succeed beyond expectations and 2. Have a great impact on our economy then you might also agree that in order for one to be truly diversified in order to protect yourself that global investment is just as important. I believe that trade imbalances hurt us more than anything. Doing away with trade agreements and buying, selling and trading only within your own borders only works if the whole world does that. If the US does that as a lone wolf we would only hurt ourselves. North Korea is a perfect example of the effect of limited trade. (Although to a certain extent it is not self imposed)
Having said that I do believe investing in companies that are owned by foreign governments can have consequences. I guess we’ll find out if any foreigners invest in Government Motors.
I look forward to hearing others take on this subject.

Big money may be waiting on the golden cross when the 50-day crosses above the 200-day, 868/925. Remember the Copock Curve flashed a buy signal at the end of May. I wouldn't look for a top until the SPX breaks below 850 and I don't think that will happen anytime soon.

im not sure when the money is gonna get tired of being on the sidelines but i dont think it will be very long.

sad sad sad , obama must have had yet ANOTHER SPEECH, i have never seen a president as full of himself sigh, why dont he just stop talking :(

finally pulled myself out of the hole of the last few days! maybe just maybe we will have a green day, even a little one would boost the spirits.

roger that! im gonna sit it out rather good or bad Snort!

and yes i have partaken of the spirits myself this week lol and im not a drinker :)

The fear of loss can keep a market timer from executing a trade. Fears cloud decisions. And decisions clouded by fear, that feel right at the time they are made, are more often than not - wrong. Successful market timers actually make their profits off the fears of the majority of investors. The bulls will not fade today.
