Mayday's Account Talk

Re: Mayday allocation talk

The market has not moved low enough yet for me to dive back in. I'm looking for an entry point of S&P 1435 or R2K 795

Re: Mayday allocation talk

Keep searching, there is a good possibility of a major decline i n 2010. A 16% gain in the SPX this year would put us at 1675. I'll become more cautious myself at 1700.

Re: Mayday allocation talk

My concern for tomorrow is the fed speak if he is hawkish like the 2 feds Friday the US market will be in for a hit.

Re: Mayday allocation talk

I'm taking it to the side-lines folks 100% G. I think Bernanke might throw a wrench in the market tomorrow.

Re: Mayday allocation talk

I decided to move to the I fund at the last minute. OS should rally tonight I hope. I still think uncle Ben will throw a wrench in the US market tomorrow.

Re: Mayday allocation talk

Almost made the same decision--to go all I, but only had a couple of min before 12 and I am snowed in using slow dial-up. Good Luck!

Re: Mayday allocation talk

Overseas green across the board. Dollar down .23 {.27%} Nice day to be in the I fund.

Re: Mayday allocation talk

Made a move to the I fund yesterday anticipating Japan rate hike would effect a dollar drop. I also was expecting gas prices to give us better core inflation #'s The cold might have had an negative impact on that theory. So back to the drawing board. Charts look like R2K a buy at 815 S&P a buy at 1443 I may retreat to a safe fund before noon got an hour and a half to decide.

Re: Mayday allocation talk

I'm holding 100% C fund for now. I hope all those holding long positions don't panic and sell off. This could snowball.

Re: Mayday allocation talk

I'm leaning towards 100% I fund today Bernanke has not said anything to make the market plummet. Large caps are doing well. Overseas markets should follow this bounce back from US stocks. Also overseas stocks appear to be a bargain at the moment.

Re: Mayday allocation talk

I decided to diversify my account F10 C50 S20 I20 The hammering I took this week has left its mark.

Re: Mayday allocation talk

I'm keep thinking about the nice vehicle I could be purchasing with the funds I've lost in a weeks time. I held on to long.

Re: Mayday allocation talk

I have no debt. No mortgage No car payment I sold all my rentals. Now I'm thinking about buying some foreclosure properties. Sometimes opportunities like homes at fire-sale prices tempt me to do it again. A lot of time involved with real estate don't know if I want the headache again.

Re: Mayday allocation talk

G penny most likely will pay today F would be the place to be for safety. I'm expecting a little lift today in equities. Seriously thinking about moving to F before deadline and staying until Monday by noon.
