General Commentary:

Generally speaking an advance of 20% can signal a bull market; last week the SPX had advanced some 26% off the low of 667. Hopefully this bull will stay in the pasture and not run back into the barn. The auto debacle did make him back up to a higher-low last week, indicating the fragile nature of the economy and the sentiment of some wary investors. Normally, April has a history of being not so good during bear markets, but, maybe the bulls can keep pushing the prices up the channel they have created.

A look at the chart(s)

The trading channel has remained in place with pricing above the 50 dma.

The Bollinger bands closed slightly to what would be moderate volatility.

The SAR returned bullish, after the auto inspired higher-low.

Volume has been, well, mixed.

The STO is in an over-bought area; at 86.94.

The MACD is still running a positive / bullish.

Well, that's it for the weekend!

Be careful out there!

Yes sir, that's a pretty picture. I'm glad you are catching some of these gains. There's a new movie out titled "Sunshine Cleaning" - I'm sure you will have a role in it.

Technical indicator works great until external forces (mildly put) alter the outcome.

There is a reason to cook the book: To look less dead than dead.

And if your represetatives work against you, the taxpayers, in favor of... the book, there is no better words to describe it but corruption.

:mad:this market's been completely ignoring any technical indicators. We will probably hear more "better than expected" results. We will just have to wait till 3:30pm..that's when the real market opens.
