anybody know the rules on LWOP. They are telling me they are taking two shift of OT away and paying me straight time for LWOP days i took for the military. But i was also told they can't do that unless i worked those days and shift i took the LWOP. In other words i took LWOP for the 6th and 7th in which i normally work evening watch (4-12) i heard they can make me do it only if i work the 6th (4-12) or the 7th (4-12) is this the truth?

Damn I sure don't know if leave for Military Services is counted as LWP?. Contact your IR Folks!

normally it's military leave then annual leave when it's gone but i requested LWOP and now they are trying to pull some who doo.

It is a bunch of who doo. I took military leave and brought my orders in to my time-keeper. My military orders had my duty time as 0700-1600. My civilian job schedule was 0630-1530. They charged me LWOP for two days at .5 hours each. Took two months to get my orders amended to get the LWOP off my pay status.

I was told that the orders needed to match up to the leave I was taking. Excuse me?

It made no sense whatsoever! My pay people helped me out, fortunately, I still had some to talk to. Get on the horn to your DFAS and find out the actual pay rules.

talked to the union come to find out im right. they can't turn OT into straight pay to cover LWOP make more money that way you know. thanks guys.
