Decided to start up my account talk thread. Joined the Auto tracker and forum and just started moving in December of 2025.

My 2025 year finished at +13.78% I was able to squeak out more at the years end with a few moves. Prior to this I never really moved my TSP money or paid attention to it while I was active duty.

I set a personal goal of +2% gain per month or +24% for the year for 2026. I have primarily been using I and some timing of S for gains and then using the G fund as my fall back to prevent loses and lock in gains until I get my moves back for the next month.

As of today, 24 Feb, I am +6.97% on the year and +3.75% for Feb.

I plan to start a TSP I fund headwind/tailwind stat for my account talk, tracking the USD exchange ratio influence and fair market valuation adjustments to the I fund which effect closing gains or losses.

I will also try to share my thoughts and strategies as I go.

I didn't start posting these I fund stats here until this last week, was only really tracking it here and there for myself since Jan.

Every day this past week had a tailwind! Meaning that between dollar value fluctuations and fair valuation adjustments everyday was in your favor!

Your gains were either increased or losses reduced, what a strong close out for the month!

All ye I fund sea dogs had some mighty favorable winds sailing into March!

I look forward to tracking the winds for every trading day in March to start gathering data on how often the I fund has this tailwind or headwind effect each month to get a percentage. I for one am curious!

I am currently holding 100% I fund myself cruising into March, made it to 30's positions and the first page on the auto tracker and so far I am crushing my 2% per month goal with +5.68% gain for Feb and +8.95% on the year. Really happy with that since I still spent a good amount of time playing it safe in G this past month. Good luck all and lets see some more fair winds!

Looks like the storms from the weekend did not bode well for the I fund Monday. Even so we still got a tailwind adjustment
which is interesting especially with the dollar up. Curious to see how this rolls into today.

UUP: +0.92%

I have the past 2 weeks (10 trading days) of data now, so I will do some stats for the TSP I fund fair valuation adjustments since I started.

10-Day Wind Report (23FEB-06MAR):

70% Tailwind
. Gains were increased or losses were reduced on the day.
30% Headwind. Losses were increased or gains were reduced on the day.

Total Headwind adjustments: 1.52%
Total Tailwind adjustments: 2.25%

Net Adjustment: 0.73%

Notes:
In the past 10 trading days, even with this wild last week for the market, dollar and oil, there was still a net positive adjustment in your favor.
