jkenjohnson's account talk

Thanks. Anyone try to buy an assault rifle or ammo lately? I'm like Barney Fife - have one bullet and can't find any anywhere.

Prices on rifles have increased quite a bit and ammo won't sit on shelves. I've been told when a store gets in ammo, it is often sold within 30 minutes. Police departments order theirs in bulk (they practice a lot). Their shipments are now backordered and they have been told to try to buy from stores.

I guess I'll go to Walmart and wait for the next truck to come in?:)

Do what I did after a hurricane came through and I wanted a generator. I found a store that told me a truck would arrive in the morning. I went there early the next day, before the truck, and said, "Can I buy one now and just pick it up when the truck gets here?" They let me. So, when the truck arrived, every generator on it was taken by someone in the parking lot that had already bought one :)

I did a search on some ammo, and reloading supplies. sold out and not backorderable on everything. It was the exact same before that brady law was passed in 04

Good idea for the ammo but I want to look at the rifles since I'm not sure what I want.

I thought that I made a good move at lunch time when I shorted the market. Now I'm not sure as it just keeps on grinding higher. We'll see what happens next week.

This blows my mind. The CEO of OXY was fired and received a $50,000,000 severence package. If he had retired, it would have only been $20,000,000. The corporate world is more screwed up than the government.
