JimmyJoe's Account Talk

Today 50 C, 50 F. My 32% 12 month pip because of the last month's drop is now 27%. I kinda want to hang on to that rather high number. I think I'll revisit this after the Olympics.

Looks like SPX will definitely hit 2000. Dow at 17000 tomorrow/today. This is nice. My pip is 13 but at the end of the year, 20.

I had a Dow target of 24,000 year end - all I need now is 7,000 more points in 4 months. I had a number of 2400 on the SPX - I'll achieve that one.

"The S&P 500 has rallied more than 195% since stocks bottomed in March 2009, the fourth best bull market since 1928 in terms of both duration and magnitude." When will Dow RSI hit 80%? The market is technically ready for a big run into the fall and happy season. So fundamental economic and background news is supported of yet another positive winter season for stocks. I'm just waiting for QE news from the ECB.

It's kind of funny but the only thing investors did today was pay their respective brokers to get in or out and back in today. I thought that the market would bounce back from SPX -4.50 at 2pm to almost even at the end of the trading day. People just can't stand to be left on the sidelines. People are just going to put all their chips in, maybe tomorrow, maybe by the end of the week. I'm betting SPX 2010 tomorrow.

And there you have it. SPX 2010 today likely. End of the week we're free of the bonds of SPX 2000. We're moving up.

I wonder if I should play this market a little. Take the next gain nearing the end of the month then jump out. Investors are not too keen on leaving the SPX 2000 plateau. It's going to go up to 3k in the next year but..

This just might be the day it goes above 2010 and stays there for "a considerable time". SPX 2080 by Christmas. Fuggedeboudit my previous post.

I'm still holding out for anything close to SPX 2400 by year end. We may have a serious melt-up on the way and even a 70 point one day gain in the SPX would not surprise me.
