James48843 Account Talk

I'm thinking one more day of "down", and then we're at a crossroads. EITHER it will resume going back higher, --OR- we're in for a major downsweep. One of the two will happen over the next three days, I think. My gut is telling me slightly lower today, and then the next move will be the determining factor for the next couple weeks.

I'm thinking about moving back into stocks. Maybe today. Maybe tomorrow. Or then again, if it does tank, maybe not for while yet.

We'll see.

Day to note. As of this morning, I have now crossed my 2008 high number I had for a balance. The charts are all saying we may get a breather soon. I am seriously considering selling today and waiting a couple days for an opportunity to buy back in cheaper. We'll see how it looks just before noon.

Note- I saw someone post that they were having problems doing an IFT this morning. I will be watching to see if anyone else is today or not. It may be necessary to use the phone thrift line today- so don't wait till the last minute if you are planning a move. I'm probably 50-50 whether I want to make the jump today or not. We'll see.

James,

You posted a link once for military stop loss folks - would you have that link again. The Army is having a difficult time being helpful. TIA.

What about stop loss are you looking for? I'll have to go look for it. I can find it if I know what you are looking for.

I'm looking for the e-mail address regarding the application process for the payments/month program that was effective 10/21/09. My daughter did twelve months on stop loss and wants to know if she can benefit from the $500/month payment. Thanks.

She can apply on-line here:

https://www.stoplosspay.army.mil/Default.aspx

When you get that, you MAY get an invalid security certificate message in your browser (I did). Just override that, accept the certificate, and then accept the terms and conditions. It will take you to a page where you can learn more.

You will need the following information before you begin the on-line verification process. Some may require scanning DD-214 documents to upload there. Here is what the site says:
Good luck.

Instructions This claim process should take about 30 minutes depending upon how many supporting documents you need in your circumstances and how many you have available to upload.

You will be asked to provide personal identifying information and other relevant information to determine your eligibility.

Something's not right. I can't put my finger on it, but as of 2pm. today I am convinced it's time for me to bail out.

I moved 99% to "G", and 1 % to "F" today in my first IFT of the month.

Good luck. I'm out as of COB tomorrow.

We might end up following the overseas markets, evidentially Dubai has stuck a stick in their eye and the DOLLAR Crashed!!:o That dollar in your pocket just went down over 1% today.:suspicious:

Hmm.... what to do, what to do.

Nice dip today. The X2 chart on the P&F is looking ugly, but I am thinking this might be a good day to jump back in- as it will be at a slightly lower level than when I jumped out back on the 26th- and I need a break like that. My gut tells me it will end lower today, and maybe lower again tomorrow- BUT if it holds at the level it's at at the end of the day today, we also have a good chance of a springboard higher.

What to do, what to do......

The normal S&P500 P&F chart is still on the upswing, but today's action swtiched the X2 S&P500 chart to a double bottom breakdown- and a new bearish price objective of 1080 (2160 on the X2 chart)

Time to buy?

Jamess,
I really appreciate your guidance and interpretation. I am following the discipline required to let the SS system work. HOPEFULLY we'll have a good rally soon. Keep in touch.

discipline is what it's all about sometimes.

I decided not to jump today. We'll see tomorrow if that was the right thing to do.

Today- not sure. Once again it's a mixed picture.

S Fund P&F chart is looking poor- says we're going lower.

I fund a tad better, but still not a strong sign at all:

And the C chart is unchanged since yesterday.

As there is no real trend here, I'm going to sit this one out at least one more day.

I expect a Santa rally later in the month. But I don't see anything today that wants to start pushing a Santa rally yet- so I'll just sit on the sidelines another day and see what comes up.

Counting those G fund pennies "taint so bad", ya know.

I sure the heck hope this is just a computer glitch today- but the "S" fund's P&F chart just went haywire over on Stockcharts.com:

On the other hand, I AM sitting in "G" right now, waiting for a buying opportunity. I does't get any better than this, when you look at it from that perspective. :-) :D

Me too, so where is support on that chart?:laugh::laugh:

$EMW was been messed up over the last few days with the last day always showing a large spike to the downside. It should correct after the close.
