Interesting finds

No, they didn't report earnings on friday-

They instead opened a new plant in China. The product there will be solar energy related. How about that? And they annouced a new truck to compete in the MRAP market, called "the bull". And annouced that it will be using some new technology armor on it. Now it looks like the military is going to do some acceleratied testing to put it through it's paces and see if it is something they want.

So, now we have a fast growing company, that is into body armor, added nuclear spent fuel storage, solar energy, vehicle armor, and has added capacity both domestically, and now it's first plant in China.

CRDN rules.

Two more to take a look at today.

One of my friends introduced me to these. I haven't yet done my due dilligence on them, but they already look interesting to me:

Which is stock symbol RNO.

And Stock Symbol ELP.

RNO operates mining - gold, and nickle. It appears the nickle mines are doing well.

ELP supplies electric power in Brazil. And it appears to be growing rapidly, with a low P/E ratio right now.

Both have had huge run ups, so I am a little warry, until I do more "due dilligence" and find out what they are about.

But they are both interesting finds, and deserve a little more careful analysis.

Note: I usually begin tracking a stock for a while and at the same time begin doing more research to find out more about the company. I'll post here later what I find out.

James,
What happened to RNO? I remember a while back they were in buyout talks? I had them on my list of commodity plays for my mock portfolio. Just noticed today the ticker is N/A.

Speaking of buyouts.... Hind sight is 20/20 but I was sooo close to going against my mantra and chasing tech earlier in the week when BEAS pulled back some. I didn't do it, but if I did, I'd be a seller today with a nice profit.

.

Yes, they were bought out by Lundin Mining back in August.

I never bought in- too much baggage for me to see the clear value.

Sometimes I want to look them over for a while, and see what they are doing, and learn more about the company before I decide to put any real money on them. Good companies will continue to be worthwhile - time sometimes can separate the wheat from the chaff.

Always better to get to know a company before putting any of your own real money into it.
