Tom plus anyone else ——is there anything wrong or not, with matching the current TSP investment funds (F,C,I G,S) in a non TSP IRA account , using the ETF equivalent fund of each of the TSP funds ? Please comment. Thank you.

No, nothing wrong with that.

The only reason not match it trade for trade might be that you have more flexibility in an IRA without the IFT limits and the deadlines - waiting for next business day, etc.
