Was going to leave from my 100% G position that I went into in mid November, missing most of the recent fall, but also missing the recent bounce back.
When I logged on today, ready to leave my G position and go back into equites, to my surprise, I saw I was already fully invested, from my Oct position (which did win me a Top 5 TSP coffee cup for Oct, lol)
I remember entering my IFT from 100% equities to 100% G into the tsp.gov site, getting a confirmation on the website that it would be processed COB that day, and not only did it NOT go thru COB that day, it did not go thru the following day, which is what I remember happens if your IFT comes in just a few seconds past noon ET deadline. Has this happened to anyone else before?
Upon further investigation, I also did not get an email confirmation that day, but for years, I just went off the message the tsp.gov site would give me once I hit the final "send button".
Funny side-note, this miscue actually helped me by 4%, current year to date on the TSP.gov site says over 14% YTD while my Tracker says 10.56% YTD. Not sure what to do on my Tracker, guess I will make a fictitious IFT on it today just to keep it the same as my actual portfolio, since I was going to go back into stocks today.
